Number of continents where these same birds are observed as having an impact on those ecosystems: 5
USFWS Biologists have reported that "Nearly 180 species of birds have been seen on the Arctic Refuge. They come from four continents to breed, rest or feed. A majority nest on the Refuge."
So, add our continent to the four continents they come from and you have a total of five continents that these birds play a part in an interconnected ecosystem.
