Stop anti-ANWR Legislation!

Right NOW, we must convince the Senate and President Bush not to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge!

Background:
In 1980, Congress passed an act that mandated that only another act of Congress could allow drilling of the ANWR. On August 1, 2001, our Congress gave that permission.

Drilling the ANWR will not relieve the energy crisis in any way, and will certainly destroy this vulnerable landscape.

What to do:
Tell your Senators and President Bush to vote against these bills. This will take about 5 minutes of your time, 3 envelopes, and 3 stamps.
  • Due to the volume of emails that these people receive, you must send them a real letter to make sure that your voice is heard.
  • You don't need to send a letter to your representative, as he has already voted.

1a. Download this letter (pdf or text directly from your browser), and print two copies to send to both of your Senators.

1b. Download this letter (pdf or text directly from your browser), and print one copy to send to President Bush at:

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

2. On all four, fill in your name and address, and sign it.

3. Get the names and addresses of your representatives. Just type your zip code into the box on this webpage. You can get each person's address by clicking "info" under their pictures.

4. Address a letter to each senator and the President, and send it to them.
