Timothy G. Hermach, President and Founder
With a degree in Finance and Management and more than 20 years in
business, Tim Hermach left the corporate world in 1987 to devote his
energies to the defense of our nation's publicly owned forests, rivers
and streams. As president of Native Forest Council, he has risen to
national prominence as the uncompromising leader in the struggle to
save our publicly owned lands. His arguments and solutions are based
on sound environmental economics and upon business and employment that
builds rather than destroys public wealth. He has published opinions
in The Washington Post and The New York Times. He has appeared on CBS
Evening News and ABC's PrimeTime Live, has been featured in Newsweek
and the Chronicle of Philanthropy and is featured in Anne Becher's book
of American Environmental Leaders.
