Actor, Environmental Activist, and member of the Native Forest Council's Advisory Board
Inspired by the works of his Academy Award winning father, Ed Begley, Jr., became an actor in 1967,
and at only 17 he appeared on the long-running television series My Three Sons. He is best known for
his portrayal for Dr. Victor Ehrlich on the television series St. Elsewhere, for which he received
an Emmy nomination during each viewing season. Ed has guest starred on such series as 7th Heaven,
Roseanne, The Drew Carey Show and Star Trek--but that's not all. Interviews with the California
environmental community reveal that Begley is widely known and respected for the example he sets
in his personal and professional lives. "No doubt about it, Ed's a fully-committed environmentalist,"
says Sandra Jerabek, executive director of Californians Against Waste (CAW) in Sacramento.
"I tell you, this guy is real," she says emphatically. "He drives an electric car, he rides his
bike, he takes the bus and the train. When he renovated his garage, he found a way to recycle
the broken concrete they ripped out. I mean, how many people take their commitment that far?"
she asked. For more information about Ed Begley Jr. visit his official website.
